Program Objectives

  1. To increase the capacity for research on the structural biology of membrane proteins by providing integrated training and career development for Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows.
  2. To create a transdisciplinary program linking structural biologists with clinician-scientists, geneticists, cell and molecular biologists.
  3. To elucidate the molecular basis of genetic defects in membrane proteins and to explore their role as drug targets.

The CIHR Strategic Training Program International Symposium on
Membrane Proteins and Molecular Therapeutics will be held on June 15th, 2007
